Grading Policy

1. Artisanal Production Limitations: No pin is 100% perfect. All enamel pins are handcrafted with intricate detailing.  Imperfections naturally occur, particularly with:
• Multi-effect designs
• Larger dimensions
• Complex finishing techniques

2. Grading Methodology: While each pin undergoes individual inspection, grading reflects:
• Industry-standard variance between artisans
• Design/manufacturing complexity
• Size and effect implementation

3. All pre-orders will receive either A-Grade or B-Grade items, with priority selection for the best available quality. Remaining stock will be released as in-hand drops.

4. Grades for Pericat Studio:

A Grade/Standard Grade
• Visually perfect at arm's length
• Tiny flaws may be visible if you check very closely (like holding it near eye-level, under bright light or tilting it).
• Common minor issues: faint scratches, small glitter spots, tiny bubbles, pinpricks, specks of paint, dust specks, minor screenprint errors
• Essentially, you won’t notice these flaws unless you’re looking for imperfections.

B Grade
• Minor flaws visible at normal viewing distance
• Examples: slight color shifts, enamel paint bleeding, small paint dots, noticeable glitter patches, more obvious screenprint errors, slightly oxidized metal
• May have shallow scratches or uneven surfaces
• Essentially, flaws are there but don't ruin the pin's overall look.

C Grade
• Obvious flaws that affect appearance
• Examples: deep scratches, deep pinpricks, missing colors, wrongly colored enamel, missing metal, major misprints
• Might have chipped enamel or discolored metal
• Essentially, flaws are clearly visible at first glance.
Great for pins meant to be loved not babied.

Note: We grade more strictly than typical industry standards! Some pins here labeled C-grade still look beautifully display-worthy to many collectors——we just can't call them perfect under our rules.

5. Quality Assessment Protocol:
• Evaluation limited to front display surfaces
• Post stability excluded from grading criteria
• All grades inherit higher-tier imperfection possibilities
